The weekend in Leigh went well – (just a peek into our future) – The repairs to Dogonit were all good and made the trip even more enjoyable. Mac and Rose seemed tired when we got home – The travel seems to take it out of them more than us. Not sure if the “Rally Style” really suits. I think the issue is that the program they run to is very structured and suits an older crowd (Not good for us young ones you know)
Apparently in the old days when the club was founded the Rallies were family oriented with kids etc. Thirty or so vans would set and only 15 would arrive and the weekend was spent either towing in the broken down vans for repair or assisting in roadside repairs.
With today’s more modern motor homes and the regulatory requirements of making modifications put the cost out of the average family. I was surprised not see caravans and a younger average age.
At home for a few days while the weather passes and I will get some contract work completed. We may head north for a week so as I can get some fishing in.

Great that the repairs did the trick! Weather hasn’t been too bad down here … was it tricky up Leigh’s way?
The wind got up Saturday night but wasn’t to bad. We headed home Sunday as the threat of the cyclone was not worth staying on. Shame as it did not eventuate into anything at all. Trying to complete a design contract I have with Skycity before heading away again.
